Rather than join Gus Against Them at the May Day protests, Black Dahlia Parton invites Amy Dentata over to flesh out their plan to infiltrate the women’s struggle.*

Pitfalls of the Industry
Life is like a hurricane. Here in. Game dev. Sexists, neckbeards, threats of rape. It’s some. Bullshit.
Might deny privilege, assault some women! DOUCHEBROS, WOO-OO!
Every day they’re out there whining. DOUCHEBROS, WOO-OO!
The funniest thing in the world is straight guys who hit on random women they don’t know but have this indignant fear that a gay man is going to hit on them
Like, they’re aware of how uncomfortable unwanted advances from strangers are, but are somehow too stupid to see the irony that they do to women what they’re afraid gay men will do to them

Are There Girls On This Server?

A really entertaining and thoughtful podcast series featuring Black Dahlia Parton and Drea The Dead. I’m loving it so far!
Have I posted this before? I may have. Well, here it is again.
[Image description: A two-panel comic, titled “Men’s attitudes toward male videogame stereotypes”. The first panel has the heading, “Normally”, and features a guy saying, “It’s brotastic!” The second panel has the heading, “After women complain about female stereotypes”. In it, same guy says, “Hey we’re stereotyped too and it really hurts. Really.”]
Crisis on Infinite Jaz: "biological sex" is socially constructed
Ok, it’s time for an education. It’s not entirely your fault you’re utterly ignorant since the medical industrial complex AND the hatefilled society in which we all live both actively seek to reinforce the binary at any and all costs and purposefully keep people…
READ the whole thing, exactly spells this out.
Beneath the massive denial of men’s power and responsibility and its projection onto women is an enormous pool of rage, resentment, and fear. Rather than look at patriarchy and their place within it, many men will beat, rape, torture, murder, and oppress women, children, and one another. They will wage mindless war and offer themselves up for the slaughter, chain themselves to jobs and work themselves to numbed exhaustion as if their lives had no value or meaning beyond controlling or being controlled or defending against control, and content themselves with half-lives of confused, lost deprivation. What men lack, women didn’t take from them, and it isn’t up to women to give it back.

[speaking straight white cis for a moment here, because I have to deal with this so often]
A lot of times men get angry at me when I don’t address the problems men face. Women have fought to make the world a better place for them to live in. Why don’t men do the same? For some reason, men want women to fix their lives too. (That was a rhetorical question, by the way. It’s because sexist tropes make women into plot points, catalysts for male character development, homemakers, and manic pixie dream girl muses. We’re expected to change their lives for the better. It’s written into the definition of womanhood.)
There are genuine problems that men face, problems also created by patriarchy: Not being allowed to show any emotion other than rage. Being held to strict standards of masculinity that require them to disrespect women and one-up each other to maintain a sense of identity. The required neurotic aversion to anything even remotely feminine that forbids any kind of empathetic connection to other human beings. Getting attacked for showing any kind of vulnerability.
These are problems that men have approached me with and demanded I address them, as if I as a feminist have any influence over how men define their manhood. Instead of complaining that feminists should fix all the problems that men create and perpetuate, men need to organize themselves to change these things. And while you’re at it, tell the MRA’s to give it a rest. They’re just making it worse for you.
why can’t feminism be spread like vampirism and zombies and shit like you bite someone and they stop being a misogynistic fucktrumpet

NC Bill Would Mean Prison Time For Topless Women
Under the Republican-backed bill, first-time offenders would be charged with a felony, punishable by up to six months in prison.
Republican Rayne Brown stated that the bill was created in response to rallies promoting women’s rights.
Triggered by two topless rallies held in Asheville, the Republican-backed bill headed to a floor vote in the House and would amend the state’s indecent exposure law to expand the legal definition of “private parts” to explicitly include “the nipple, or any portion of the areola, or the female breast.”
Depending on whether such exposure is judged to be “for the purpose of arousing or gratifying sexual desire,” the woman could be charged with a felony, punishable by up to six months in prison for first-time offenders. More mundane exposure would be a misdemeanor, meriting up to 30 days in jail. “Incidental” exposure by breastfeeding mothers would remain exempt.
Oh, for fuck’s sake.
So they decide parts of our bodies are inherently sexual simply because we are women, and then they want to criminalize us for that sexuality we never fucking asked to be applied to us in the first place.
Oh, men. So terrified of literally the stupidest things.
I don’t think they’re afraid of breasts or nudity. I think they’re afraid of women getting power. These men are used to having power and don’t want to lose it in any way, including by achieving equality. Keeping women in constant fear of arrest for doing something as simple as breastfeeding or having a nipple slip is a great way to keep them in line. I think that’s the real underlying strategy: Pass confusing laws that leave women not knowing their rights (see also: ridiculous abortion exception rules) and create arbitrary punishments whose severity is decided by those in power (mostly men), so that women live in constant fear of the unknown.
An atmosphere of fear and uncertainty: That is how you keep oppression going. See also, laws passed that target every minority ever.
