This Is Not Complicated

Individuals are responsible for their own sexual preferences.

This means that if a person wants their sexual and/or romantic partners to meet certain criteria, it is that person’s responsibility to make those criteria known. They do not get to demand that all potential partners cater to their preferences by disclosing private information in advance. If they assume that someone they found attractive met those critera and later find out that assumption was incorrect, that’s their mistake.

Trans* people are not an exception to this rule.
